Dr. Kate Mattera grew up in Ipswich, Massachusetts, and currently resides in Exeter, New Hampshire. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts. She then went on to work as a veterinary technician in both a small animal practice and shelter medicine.
Dr. Mattera earned her DVM degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and completed her clinical year at Oklahoma State University. She has been practicing small animal medicine since 2015 in New Hampshire and Maine. Her interests include preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, and geriatric care.
Outside of work, Dr. Mattera enjoys spending time with her son and husband, hiking, biking, cooking, and knitting. She has an orange cat named Jack and a black lab mix named Bentley.
